NHN Chuncheon Data Center — Built for Scale, Designed for Resilience

In response to its growing cloud service ambitions, NHN sought to establish a dedicated hyperscale data center that would not only meet current capacity requirements but also support long-term expansion. The project demanded a highly secure, energy-efficient, and modular facility—delivered within an aggressive timeline and subject to rigorous sustainability standards.

DC BRIDGE, in collaboration with GS E&C, was entrusted with the full execution of this strategic initiative. Located in Chuncheon, Korea, the NHN Data Center was developed with a forward-looking architectural and engineering philosophy. The site comprises one administrative building and three separate server buildings, offering maximum spatial flexibility and physical isolation between operational zones.

Key challenges included the need for high-density server capacity, LEED Platinum certification, and a Tier III-compliant power and cooling system—all implemented in a regional location with unique climate and infrastructure constraints. DC BRIDGE responded by leveraging its end-to-end delivery capabilities, providing business planning support, detailed technical consulting, fast-track construction management, and operational readiness.

The result was a next-generation facility that balances energy efficiency, fault tolerance, and long-term scalability—making it one of Korea’s most advanced privately operated data centers.
